Saturday Fun With Nature - The "A" Bee "C's" of Bees

  • John Slechta lives in Big Flats and takes care of our honey bees at Tanglewood. The honey is available for purchase in our gift shop for $4.50 a honey bear.

John has been taking care of our bees since I first started working here over 6 years ago. He is well experienced, and very knowledgeable. Today, he is going to share his pictures, stories, and expertise with you. View a slideshow, see our hive up close in action, and maybe even sample some honey in our gift shop.

Nature Center and Museum hours: OPEN Tuesday-Friday, 9am-4pm, and Saturday 10am-4pm. CLOSED Sunday-Monday. Trails are open dawn to dusk year-round.
