For families with young children, enjoy a leisurely outdoor walk at several locations around Chemung County. An outdoor educator is on hand to help you enjoy the wonder of nature, and encourage your child's understanding of our natural world. For parents, grandparents, and caregivers with babies in strollers, toddlers, preschoolers and young schoolchildren.
This program is hosted by the Horseheads Family Resource Center, and is funded through the generosity of the Chemung Valley Audubon Society.
Locations include Sperr Park, Eldridge Park, Lackawana Trail, Elmira's River Walk, Seeley Creek, and at Tanglewood Nature Center and Museum.
All walks run from 10:00-11:00 AM unless otherwise noted.
Walks are weather dependent, and will be canceled in cases of inclement weather. For more information, please call HERC at (607) 483-1067.
